India has committed to zero indigenous malaria cases by 2027 and elimination by 2030. The annual change in seasons sees emergence of the menace of vector-borne diseases in India. Even after attaining advancement in Science and Technology, we have not been able to fully control the spread of vector-borne diseases. Now, SERI has collaborated with HIL (India) for procurement and free-of-cost distribution of an effective product namely, LLIN, medicated mosquito nets, amongst the vulnerable sections in the project/ target area. It would prove to be very effective in controlling the menace of Malaria and Dengue, especially in rural, tribal and remote areas of the country, generally habituated by marginalized population with meagre sources of livelihood.
