Food Bags For EWS:

The “Food Bag for the Economically Weaker Section Project” is a food donation project that aims to feed the hungry, destitute, and poor souls living within the vicinity of Socio economic research institute (SERI) so that we may help change these people’s lives for a better tomorrow. Free Food Bag will be given out to walk-in needy people in the form of pre-packed Food Bag at SERI on every day of the week.


To provide food in the form of Food Bag to feed the hungry, destitute, and poor with the hope that it may somehow ease their burden and help change their lives for a better tomorrow. To act as a platform for members of the public who are interested in food donation charity project to participate along as volunteers and donors. To create awareness on charitable activates and the challenges that NGOs and underprivileged group faced.

Project Mechanism

Target Needy People

This project welcomes all clients from the destitute and poor background to receive the food donation Food Bag from SERI in order to feed their hunger.

No. Of Needy People

10,000 needy people of Food Bag will be allocated at each day’s Food bag session to cater.


All needy people who arrive to collect the Food Bag must properly register their full names, Identification Card number, and contact number where available, prior to collection of food. This is for documentation and audit purposes as well as a requirement from Inland Revenue.

Operating Days & Hours

Will be selected to operate the Food Bag for the Economically Weaker Section project on each of the selected days, a booth consisting of tables will be setup at SERI’s front façade for the registration and food distribution, which is targeted to run from 11am until 5pm, or until all the Food Bag has been distributed.
